Grants are something most co-ops are interested in. However, writing a grant can be an overwhelming and time-consuming process. Cultivate Community Co-op recently hired a professional to help them create a grant binder. In this session, I’ll be joined by Cheryl Smith the CEO of Dewlyn Nonprofit Services, who assisted Cultivate Community Co-op in this work, and Paula Schnese and Dave McAdams, board members of Cultivate Community Co-op. We’ll discuss the binder Cheryl built and how Cultivate has put it to use.
Dewlyn Nonprofit Services helps build sustainable organizations and Cheryl does just that through her extensive training, coaching, and grant-writing expertise. She is the author of “21 Ways to Fund a Nonprofit,” a member of the American Grant Writers Association, and a former Board Chair of a child welfare organization in Georgia. In addition, her commitment to social impact extends nationwide as a nonprofit volunteer trainer for SCORE, as well as a public speaker for various private sector groups. Cheryl’s core expertise lies in establishing and strengthening organizational capacity for small nonprofit organizations, and her chief aim is to help leaders actualize their missions and achieve their greatest potential.
